Memories of Patna

Memories of the coaching classes, struggles, friends, fun and the banks of holy Ganga.

I lived in Patna for 2 years, 2011 to 2013.

I learned, enjoyed, travelled and got a lot of things from there. No matter, I had faced problems too, but they were like problem up to there. Now those problems, those days, those moments, those places, those friends are things of memories, which always make me emotional.

Still those late evening visits of Gandhi Ghatt, that talking in Gandhi Maidan, that Mussalhpur Hat, where I goes to buy vegetables, those late night studies by talking on phone, those late night funny talks after dinner, that Playground of Moenul Haq Stadium, where I used to go in evening with my friends in TTS alternate, that gym club of Bazar Samiti, where I used to go in morning, that Zoo of Patna, where I went once with my friends, are alive in my memories.

Always, whenever I get holidays from my college, I want to go there and see those places again, breathe there and feel those days again with my heart.

I started living in Patna since 20 June, 2011. My first room was near Chiraiyatadh Overbridge, which is near railway station of Patna. It was too far from my coachings, so I shifted in Mussalahpur, only after 2 months. It was nearer as compared to older but not enough, so I shifted again in Bazar Samiti.

The most memorable moments are those classes of J.roy sir. He was my physics teacher and founder of Smiriti classes, Patna. His classes work like tonic to mind. He was a great philosopher and motivator. His motivations, love which he shows with students, poetry, teaching, Shayari and personality is still a source of inspiration to me. The only class I loved to go and never missed at any cost was his class. I still miss his dialogues-

“ Sab prakriti ki maya hai.”

“ Jo dikhta hai wo hota nahi hai, jo hota hai wo dikhta nahi hai.”

And the most interesting sentence he says when someone replies answer:

“Lo! Kar lo Bat…!”

These words seem just like simple sentences here but when he says these in class, really it thrills the mood, and wakes up our interest in Physics.

My batch was in TTS (means Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday) alternate at 6:30 – 8:30 pm. I always used to go into Moenul Haq Stadium before his class with my friends. It was near from there. Another place where I used to go was Premchand Rangsala, which was also near from there.

While I am talking about Patna, what I cannot forget is my teacher of Physical chemistry teacher, B.K Singh. I was his student and I can say with confidence that, nobody can teach much better physical chemistry than him in all over Patna. Really, the concepts which he gives us and the way he demonstrates them is incredible. I loved his classes. This was also among those classes which I never wanted to miss. My batch was in MWF (means Monday, Wednesday, Friday) alternate at 4:00-6:00 pm. I was in Ramna road centre. I still remember that starting class when he started from Mole Concept and taught up to 6:15 pm. The memory of that day, when he ended the syllabus and announced that it was last class, still makes me cry. No matter, how strict he becomes after giving numerical problems, but still his love behind that strictness makes my eyes wet.

B.K. Singh Sir

R.K Suman, was my Mathematics Teacher, his classes needs full concentration, because he never takes break once after entering into class. Among JEE aspirants of Patna, he is the famous for his Calculus teaching style. Students of other teacher also gets in into his class by using others id, when he starts calculus in any batch. He used to talk a lot about current affairs and political situations of country after covering up the targeted topic of class. I can still recall that when he asked me the formula of sinC+sinD.

Among all memorable persons of Patna, Nandu Mechanic has its own place in my heart. He had a big Cycle Store in Bazar Samiti near Bakri Mandi. I cannot forget his help, he had become my friend. He was my cycle mechanic. I always used to go to his cycle store before class for repairing my cycle and he does my work by himself, not by his employees. He was very geeky about mechanism of cycle. He had always come to my room after closing his shop at night to talk about cycles. It may sound funny here but you can guess his craze about cycles by his achievements. He had made a cycle which can run by itself, once after pushing it. He has been also awarded by ex-chief minister of Bihar Lallo Yadav, for his research.

Really, I cannot forget Patna. There is a lot to say about there, but it is not possible to express everything in words. I cannot forget that day when my roommate Prashant, had come to Mithapur Bus Stand of Patna to leave me. Really, I had cried that time when I was leaving that city. That moment will be always a unforgettable moment of my life.
